Let's talk about the basics of sending your quilt to me
The Basics:
I focus on you as my priority I want to make this a fun and easy experience for you. I enjoy helping you with this portion of your quilting. It’s not fun to try and lay out the back, batting and top and pin or spray baste it. Instead, send it to me and enjoy! I accepted local drop offs by appointment only. I am located in Statesboro, Georgia, which is near Savannah. Not local? No problem, I'll provide all the information you need to mail your quilt to me!

Quilting Pantographs (aka Pantos):
My expertise is Edge to Edge quilting (E2E). I have a large collection of quilting designs. Click HERE to see the choices! You also have the option of purchasing a design, please contact me for more information.
Pricing:
Quilting:
Edge to Edge (E2E quilting) is .022¢ for light to medium density per square inch and .03¢ for heavier density. I have a minimum charge of $40.
How do you figure out the cost? Take the width inches times the length inches for a total. Then multiply that times .022. For example, 60” x 72” = 4320 square inches. Then 4320 x .022 = $95.04. If you want, I will be happy to calculate this for you.
Batting:
I carry Quilter’s Dream Request (very light weight) and Select (normal weight) Brand 100% cotton batting, 96” wide at $13 per linear yard, however I only charge per the lineal inch. (.361¢ per inch)
Trimming:
Would you like me to trim after quilting? $10 for baby to a large throw size, $15 for queen or king size.
Return Shipping:
Domestic return shipping is a flat fee of $10 for the first quilt and $5 for any additional quilts in the same package. I cover any overage.
Rush Fee:
My normal turnaround time is 2 to 3 weeks except during peak holiday season (November and December). If your turnaround time requires pushing it up in front a previously scheduled customer, I will discuss with you first. If agreed, a rush fee will apply. Rush fees vary from $25 to $50.

- Complete a vintage quilt: Did your grandma, aunt, mother or father start a quilt and it’s been in a box for years and you want it to be out to see and love or better yet use? I can help with this too. I have completed a large number of these types of quilts. Where they might not be the most beautiful, they are the most sentimental and it fills my heart to be able to bring a quilt to the it’s final stage, in your hands to love. Preparing your Quilt:
- Trim all loose threads, especially on the front. Trim as many or as few threads off the back as it pleases you. However, I highly recommend if you have white or light on the top and extremely dark, make sure as many of the dark threads are trimmed of the back to prevent them from showing through.
- Be sure to give your quilt a good press from the front side, especially take time to do this if you normally press your blocks from the back. Pressing from the back can cause folds on the front and when I quilt it a small pleat can get sewn in.
- If you have seams that end at the edge of the quilt (this is especially important if you don’t have borders), I suggest to do a small backstitch the end of each seam at the edge of the quilt to prevent them from pulling opening when I put on the longarm or do a 1/8” stitch around the perimeter of your quilt.
- If your quilt top has a particular direction, please indicate so by placing a note or safety pin in the top left corner.
- You don’t need to baste your quilt! Send all three pieces separate. Isn’t that some great news!
Batting:
- Bring your batting or you can purchase from me. I carry Quilter’s Dream Request (very light weight) and Select (normal weight). If your quilt is a queen or king, I can order packaged batting. If you need pure white batting, please let me know in advance as I don’t routinely carry it.
- If you provide your own batting it should be a total of 8” wider and a minimum of 8” longer than your quilt top. See backing for sizing of batting.
Backing:
- Your backing should be the same size as the batting. It should be a total of 8” wider and 8” longer (or put another way 4” on all four sides) than your quilt top. For example, if your quilt top is 60” by 72”, the backing should be 68” by 80”.
- If your quilt back has a particular direction, please indicate so by placing a note or safety pin in the top left corner.
- It’s appreciated if you square up the edges of your backing and not leave jagged edges. This helps me load your quilt accurately. Squaring doesn’t mean the back has to be perfect. It means that it looks square and to the eye.
